It’s 7am on a Friday. While most of the city is still hitting snooze or already stuck in traffic, you’re making a gentle, intentional start to your day.
Before your workday starts and the to-do list takes over, connect with a deeper part of you by tuning in to the four elements in nature that also move through your body–Earth, Air, Fire, and Water. We’ll meet at SaunaGlo to make the five-minute walk together to the river, where you’ll be guided in a four elements meditation, followed by journal prompts and facilitated group sharing. We’ll then return to the sauna, where you’ll have time for at least one round of heating and cooling before you continue on with your day. (Stay as long as you like.)
Most people say they love nature. But loving something and actually slowing down long enough to connect with it through feeling it in your body are two different things.
How it works:
Meet your guide, Naomi Veak, outside the entrance to SaunaGlo at 7am
Walk as a small group to the river
Tap into a deeper sense of calm and insight through a guided nature connection meditation, journal prompts, and group sharing.
We’ll return to the sauna by 8 am, so you have time for at least one round of heating and cooling and time to yourself before you continue on with your day. (Stay as long as you’d like.)
You’ll leave this event feeling more grounded and capable as you head into the weekend.
Logistics:
Meet outside the entrance to SaunaGlo by 7am.
Dress in comfortable layers, with shoes you can wear on uneven surfaces.
Bring:
a notebook/journal and a pen
towel/blanket or a low chair to sit on outside
For the sauna–
You might want to wear your swimsuit under your clothes to save time, or bring a swimsuit
Two towels– one to sit on in the sauna, one for drying off after the shower
Sandals, as the lounge floor can be slippery when wet
optional to think about: comb/brush, makeup, lotion, etc.
You can bring a water bottle, but water and cups are available in the sauna area
You can bring your sauna items inside SaunaGlo to leave there while we walk, or leave them in your car to retrieve after the walk to the river.
For this event, you need to be able to walk approx. 1,000 feet, including a section that is sloped with uneven terrain, and sit either on a blanket on the ground or your own chair for 45 minutes.
