FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
Join in community as we celebrate Milwaukie's newest public park and Pollinator Pathway habitat enhancement!
Everyone is welcome to attend this free kid-friendly event to discover more about this urban re-greening project, demonstration garden, and new pedestrian amenity!
The Front Porch Park + Pollinator Garden Habitat Dedication will serve to raise awareness about the importance of native plants, pollinators and their habitats, pesticide-free gardening, heat islands and de-paving initiatives.
This is a brand new new horticultural installation designed to expand the Milwaukie Main Street Pollinator Pathway that runs between Johnson Creek to the north and Kellogg Creek to the south.
It will also provide a case-study in how a private business can re-invest profits into the community to enhance the commons, an investment that not only benefits people and the planet but are good for their bottom line.
Join with folks from The Xerces Society, Historic Downtown NDA, Poppy & Finch, Phoenix Natives and representatives from the City of Milwaukie, the Portland Children's Garden, and The Milwaukie Rotary.
The SaunaGlo building will be open for event attendees to warm-up, use the restrooms, and view the plant garden inside.
